A Toledo, Ohio based company which focuses on the effective use of
internet technologies by business. They design, implement, promote, and
maintain Internet presences (online ads through
interactive domains) for their clients. Clients include marinas, bed and breakfasts, school districts, industrial equipment
wholesalers, farm equipment wholesalers, an introduction service, a wedding guide, a wellness center, a fly fishing
author, a professional training company and a diversified set of other
service businesses, retailers, professionals, non-profit organizations and artists.
1998 - 2003 -- Palisades School District
Technology Committee Facilitator
Dr. Leonhard facilitated the District Technology Committee
for Palisades School District (Bucks County, PA). During his tenure,
with the guidance of the Technology Committee, the school district has
adopted various technology related policies, a K-8 technology scope and
sequence, a K-8 integrated curriculum, a building based, teacher run
technology leader program to ensure adequate teacher technology knowledge
and a small technology support staff to ensure success of the integration
of technology into the teaching process. Most meetings are conducted
remotely via conferencing through the Internet.
1995-1996 -- President, Huntingdon County Library Board of
Trustees
Dr. Leonhard lead the board which was able to implement facility upgrades and
improve the library financial situation during state funding cuts.
1995-1996 -- Huntingdon Area School District Strategic
Planning Technology Team Facilitator
The Strategic Planning Technology Team produced a 5 year
technology plan for the School District.
1990 - 1994 -- Q.S. Inc.: Director of Customer
and Operational Support, Greenville, SC.
Dr. Leonhard recommended this division be created
to reduce interruptions on the development staff. The division supported the Public Health
Care, Environmental Health, Vital Records and Financial Management systems. The systems
run on IBM AS/400, IBM PC, Novell Networks, RISC 6000, PRIME, VAX and Mainframes at more
than 200 national, state and local government or government supported sites.
With a staff of five, they maintained five day a week, 12 hours a day phone support,
averaged 90 incidents per week and resolved 84% within the division.
They redesigned, wrote, maintained and shipped manuals for 124 modules; scheduled
and provided all on-site training; packaged and shipped all releases; did system backups;
and maintained in-house equipment.
Dr. Leonhard further designed and produced weekly tracking reports for the company
president showing company incident loads, trends, product quality and staff productivity.
Interruptions on development staff dropped by 80 percent.
1983 - 1990 Self-employed: Consultant and
Contract Programmer, Clemson, SC.
Mr. Leonhard developed computer based systems for
decision support, data acquisition, health care, order processing and government finance.
He also taught personal computer use at Tri-County Technical College, the National Park
Service and several companies. These endeavors involved more than thirty different
computer languages and products including Expert systems, Hypertext systems and Decision
Support systems on various computers. He also performed personal computer hardware
upgrades.
1978 - 1983 Weyerhaeuser: , Computer Scientist
and Project Manager, R&D, Federal Way, Washington.
With Weyerhaeuser, Mr. Leonhard developed and enhanced
proprietary decision systems with high Return on Investment. One enhanced system, VISION,
received the 1985 Edelman Award from The Institute of Management Science (TIMS) for
increased profits of $100 million.
